So in lieu of the jobs report by the Department of Labor which said that an additional 533,000 people lost their jobs and the unemployment rate went up from 6.5% to 6.7%, it is really getting hard out there people! 533,000 people lost their jobs in November ALONE! That’s a 34 year high and since the start of 2008 there has been 1.2 millions jobs lost in America! 1.2 million! That’s a lot of people out of work! So, instead of giving you more bad news about how messed up the economy is, I will show you one of the silver linings in this economy! The Police Car Auction!

We’re talking about any kind of vehicle ranging from the small economy car to the big luxury vehicle! These cars are sold at a fraction of the price because in most cases, they have been abandoned, or as I said before confiscated! There are various reasons why the police will confiscate your vehicle and sell it at a police car auction!

Some people get caught driving on a suspended license and get their vehicle taken from them right there on the spot! On the side of the road with everyone looking! So embarrassing! Some people have abandoned the vehicle on the side of the road for whatever reason and never return to pick them up. There are numerous reasons, but the main idea in all of this is that, one person’s pain can become your pleasure! These vehicles are picked up and stored at the local police impound lot and that can get kind of expensive! So to offset the price of storing, the impound lot and the Police Department will get together and have a police car auction!

At these auctions you will find all sorts of things. From jewelry to work tools to bikes! But the main reason people show up is the cars! These cars are the same cars that many of your neighborhood show-off’s have been driving. You know that brand new Lexus that the guy up the street drives to work. But now he can’t afford it because he just git laid off from his high paying job! His loss is your gain! Just don’t tell him that it’s his car that you’re driving or your car will end up in the police car auction!

In conclusion I just want to say that there is a silver lining to all of the bleak news on the economy. And the police car auction is just one of them. So take advantage and you will be able to cash in on one of the most overlooked places on the planet to get the best deals!
